According to a video shared by Punch, Francis is battling for his life after one of his legs was amputated.
He was reportedly shot by a police officer at a checkpoint on June 12, 2026, while returning home from work. Officers attached to the Ketu-Ereyun Divisional Police Station had stopped the vehicle.
Favour, who said she was inside the vehicle during the incident, insisted that there were no drugs in the car.
According to her, the only items inside were food, her clothes and her wig. She maintained that she witnessed the shooting and rejected any suggestion that they were involved in criminal activity.
She also disclosed that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) donated blood for the injured driver while he was receiving treatment in hospital. She added that the officer who allegedly fired the shot also brought ₦400,000 in cash.
However, Favour claimed the officer appeared to be under the influence of drugs when he visited the hospital, although she did not provide any evidence to support the allegation. She said the officer's parents later came and took him away.
According to her, she has not seen the officer since then but was informed that he had been detained in a police cell while the matter is being investigated.
In his words, "It's a lie, because we don't take drugs. It's only food that we bought that was in the car and my clothes with my wig; that's the only thing that's inside there. We don't do drugs. I was there when they were shooting; I was inside the car."
