Photos of the newly commissioned Ogbo Central Smart School have attracted widespread attention on social media after they were shared by the state governor on his official X account.
In a post published on July 7, 2027, Governor Alex Otti described the Ogbo Central Smart School as the first of 20 modern smart schools his administration plans to establish across the state's 17 local government areas and three senatorial districts.
The governor disclosed that the inauguration was attended by the Minister of Education, whom he appreciated for accepting the invitation to witness the commissioning ceremony.
Accompanying the photos, Otti reaffirmed his administration's commitment to transforming the education sector.
He stated that the government continues to dedicate 20 percent of the state's annual budget to education, with the funds being used to improve school infrastructure, recruit and retrain teachers, and sustain its policy of free and compulsory basic education.
The images and the governor's remarks quickly generated reactions from social media users, many of whom praised the project and commended the government's efforts to enhance learning facilities.
Others, however, offered differing opinions and shared their views on the state's education policies and overall development agenda.
The post has continued to attract significant engagement online, with many Nigerians discussing the new school and the administration's commitment to improving educational infrastructure across Abia State.
