‘Senators Are Receiving Millions Every Month, Yet Pastors And G.Os Are The Ones Being Blamed For Security Problems,’ Mike Bamiloye Questions Public Criticism

Christian filmmaker and founder of Mount Zion Faith Ministries, Mike Bamiloye, has defended Christian ministers against increasing criticism over Nigeria's security challenges, arguing that the responsibility for protecting citizens lies with elected leaders and not church leaders.

In a post shared on his official Facebook page on Saturday, July 4, 2026, Bamiloye expressed concern over what he described as a growing habit of blaming pastors and General Overseers for problems that should be handled by government institutions.

"This generation is quite lost," Bamiloye wrote as he reacted to the ongoing debate surrounding insecurity and public accountability in Nigeria.

According to him, governors and other elected officials are entrusted with the responsibility of ensuring the safety and welfare of citizens. He noted that state governments receive large monthly allocations to finance security operations, infrastructure projects, healthcare, education, and other public services.
