I Don't Want To Attend Wike's Funeral Because He Said If Fubara Wins, He'll Be Buried -Bala Ibrahim

An All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain Bala Ibrahim, has said he would not attend the funeral of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, citing a past statement allegedly made by the former Rivers State governor concerning Governor Siminalayi Fubara.

The APC stalwart made the comment while reacting to ongoing political tensions in Rivers State.

Speaking in an interview with Daily Trust TV, the APC chieftain recalled what he described as a threat issued by Wike during the political contest that produced Governor Fubara.

According to him, such remarks were inappropriate and deeply troubling, especially in a democratic setting where political rivalry should not be framed in violent terms.

“I don’t want to attend Wike’s funeral because he said if Fubara wins, he’ll be buried,” he stated.

He added that political leaders should be cautious with their words, noting that statements made in the heat of politics can have lasting consequences.

The APC chieftain urged politicians to embrace tolerance and responsible communication, stressing that democracy should be about ideas and service, not threats or intimidation.
