Impeachment: If Gov Fubara Has Gone To Meet The President In France It Shows He Needs Help—Ayo Fayose

Former Governor Ayo Fayose has reacted to reports that Governor Siminalayi Fubara travelled abroad to meet President Bola Tinubu for help over the impeachment process the Rivers House of Assembly commenced against him.

According to a report by Vanguard on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, Fayose stated that if the reports are true, then it shows clearly that Governor Fubara is now in a difficult situation and needs help

Fayose, while referring to Fubara, said that a leader who refuses to stay humble and make peace will always end up struggling and running around for solutions.

Fayose stated that the answer Fubara is searching for is already with him because he has the power to resolve the political crisis by doing the right thing.

In Fayose's words: “If Governor Fubara has gone to meet the President (in France), then it shows he needs help.

When you don’t praise God, when you refuse to humble yourself and look for peace, you’ll just be running helter-skelter. What he’s looking for is inside his pocket.”
