"I'm So Disappointed" Kenneth Okonkwo Reacts To The Two Dates That INEC Chairman Picked To Hold Elections In 2027

Nigerian lawyer and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo has reacted to the dates that the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Joash Ojo Amupitan picked to conduct elections in 2027.

The reaction of Kenneth Okonkwo was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Monday, February 16, 2026.

According to THE CABLE, the INEC Chairman announced that the presidential election and national assembly elections will be conducted on February 20, 2027 while the governorship and state house of assembly elections will be held on March 6, 2027.

However, Kenneth Okonkwo has now shared his thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that he shared on his official X handle, he advised INEC to conduct all the elections in one day.

Here is what Kenneth Okonkwo wrote on his official X handle;

"Prof Amupitan should immediately reschedule all the elections to hold on one day. This will cut the unacceptable budget of N873 billion almost into half to prosecute the election".
