Let Me Reiterate, If You Don't Count Our Votes We'll Count You Among Those Who Destroy Democracy

The former governor of Anambra state and Labour Party, LP, candidate in the 2023 presidential election, Peter Gregory Obi has insisted that those planning not to count the votes of Nigerians will be counted.

This statement was contained in a post that he shared on his official X handle on Monday, February 16, 2026.

His statement is coming ahead of the forthcoming presidential election in 2027. In the statement that he shared on his official X handle, he said those planning not to count the votes will be counted as those who destroyed democracy in Nigeria.

He said the election in 2027 will be different from the ones that have been conducted in the past. The former governor of Anambra state encouraged every Nigerian to vote and protect their vote.
