Social media users have taken to their official X account to react after a video that captured the moment the President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio was laughing at the National Assembly surfaced online.

Channels TV posted the video on its official X account on February 10, 2026.

In the video that surfaced, Akpabio was seen laughing after the lawmaker representing Abia South Senatorial District, Enyinnaya Abaribe moved a motion and there was no lawamker that backed him.

In the video, the Senate President also told Enyinnaya Abaribe that he won't be able to withdraw his motion.

According to Godswill Akpabio;

"Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, unfortunately, you won't be able to withdraw the motion".
