INEC Chair Reacts To Claim That Real Time Transmission Won't Be Possible Due To Lack Of Network

The Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Prof Joash Ojo Amupitan has reacted to claim that real time transmission of polling unit results won't be possible due to lack of network coverage.

His statement was contained in a video that was posted on the official X handle of CHANNELS TV on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

His statement is coming after President Bola Ahmed Tinubu signed the Electoral Act Amendment Bill into law.

Lere Olayinka stated that the FCT Minister arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport at 5:30am to receive the body of Mpigi from the United Kingdom.
