Moses Jitoboh, the former deputy inspector general of police who tragically lost his life after fighting tirelessly to challenge his forceful retirement from the police force was recently on the spotlight after reports of his strong actions went viral across various social media platforms.
The erstwhile deputy inspector general of police was overlooked, as a junior officer was appointed as the Inspector-general and was forcibly retired by the Police Service Commission (PSC), an act which triggered massive public backlash.
However, following series of legal battles, the national industrial court ruled that his forceful retirement was illegal, and the PSC lacked the powers to retire him.
The judgement, which was widely celebrated, however came late as Moses Jitoboh tragically lost his life days prior.
