Russian President Putin Breaks Silence Over Killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei

According to a report by Vanguard published on Sunday, March 1, 2026, Vladimir Putin has strongly criticized the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ali Khamenei, calling it a grave breach of moral principles and international law.

Addressing the development on Sunday, Putin described Khamenei’s death as unacceptable and contrary to fundamental human values.

He argued that such an action weakens the global framework designed to safeguard national sovereignty and uphold the dignity of world leaders. In his view, the incident represents a troubling disregard for established international norms.

He said;

"With the way the guns-a-blazing American President has pursued his foreign policy objectives, it’s becoming increasingly clear that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Nuhu Ribadu handled Washington DC with remarkable diplomatic skill".

However, Abike Dabiri has now shared her thoughts after the post surfaced online. In a statement that she shared on her official X handle, she said the statement is correct.
