Khamenei A Lucky Soul, He Died In Jihad Against Killers Of Innocent Children And Women In Gaza—Gumi

According to a report by Daily Post on Sunday, March 1, 2026, Islamic cleric Ahmad Gumi has reacted to reports of the death of Ali Khamenei, Iran’s long-serving Supreme Leader.

Khamenei, who held the country’s highest religious and political office for over thirty years, wielded significant authority over Iran’s governance, including matters of security and foreign policy.

According to available reports, he was killed in an Israeli airstrike on Tehran on Saturday, which allegedly targeted critical sites within the Iranian capital. At the time of reporting, full details regarding the operation were not yet confirmed.

The Russian leader further warned that the situation could intensify instability in the already volatile Middle East. He stated that Khamenei would be remembered in Russia as a firm and respected figure whose leadership left a lasting mark.

Putin also reflected on the evolution of ties between Moscow and Tehran, noting that relations strengthened considerably during Khamenei’s tenure.

He explained that both nations developed what he described as a comprehensive strategic partnership in recent years, spanning cooperation in security, trade, energy, and regional affairs.

Extending his sympathies, Putin offered condolences to Khamenei’s family, the Iranian government, and the citizens of Iran. He expressed hope that his message of support would provide some comfort to those grieving during this challenging period.

He characterized the loss as deeply painful not only for Iran but also for countries that maintained close collaboration with the late leader.

Iranian state media confirmed that Khamenei was killed in strikes carried out on Saturday, alleging involvement by the United States and Israel.

As of the time of the report, neither country had officially claimed responsibility. Russia has in recent years sustained strong cooperation with Iran, particularly in defense and economic matters.
