I Don’t Want To Go To The Gates Of Heaven And They Ask Me What Killed Me–Frank Edoho

According to a report by Vanguard on Sunday, May 17, 2026, popular television host Frank Edoho has spoken candidly about one of his deepest personal fears, revealing that he does not want emotional pain caused by a woman to become the reason for his death.

The veteran broadcaster made the remarks during an interview on the YouTube channel Outside The Box, where he discussed emotional struggles, mental wellbeing, and the hidden burdens many men carry silently in relationships and family life.

His comments have since generated widespread reactions online, contributing to growing conversations around emotional health, vulnerability, and the pressures men often experience in private.

During the interview, Edoho explained that he hopes his life will never end because of emotional suffering connected to women or relationship-related problems.

According to him, the concern goes beyond romantic relationships and extends to emotional pain that could come from a wife, mother, daughter, or other important women in a man’s life.

“I don’t want to go to the gates of heaven and they ask me what killed me,” Edoho said during the interview.

He further explained that he would not want his answer to be tied to emotional heartbreak, disappointment, or mental distress caused by unresolved personal relationships.

The television personality said he desires a peaceful and fulfilled life, one in which emotional struggles do not consume his happiness or sense of purpose.

Edoho noted that many men silently endure emotional pain because society often expects them to appear strong regardless of what they may be facing internally.

According to him, this pressure has made it difficult for many men to openly discuss mental health challenges, heartbreak, depression, or emotional exhaustion.

He stated that emotional pain can sometimes affect people more deeply than physical hardship, especially when it comes from people they genuinely love and trust.

The media figure also reflected on the importance of maintaining inner peace and surrounding oneself with relationships that encourage emotional stability and positivity.

He explained that people should pay more attention to emotional wellbeing and mental health rather than pretending that emotional struggles do not exist.

Edoho further emphasized that conversations around emotional vulnerability should not be seen as weakness, especially among men who often suppress their feelings due to societal expectations.

The veteran broadcaster, widely known for hosting the Nigerian edition of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, also spoke about the kind of legacy he hopes to leave behind.

He stated that beyond fame and professional achievements, he wants to be remembered as someone who brought happiness and positivity into the lives of people he encountered.

According to him, a meaningful life is measured not only by career success or wealth but also by the emotional impact one has on others.

Edoho said he hopes to leave the world peacefully, with a sense of fulfilment rather than regret, bitterness, or unresolved emotional pain.
