I Won A Visa Lottery, But My Pastor Told Me Not To Travel And Asked Me To Work For The Church – Aniyi Reveals

According to a recent video by Agbaletu TV on Monday, June 8, 2026, Femi Aniyi recounted a surprising moment in his life when he won a visa lottery to travel abroad, but was advised by his pastor not to leave the country. Instead, the pastor reportedly encouraged him to stay back and work for the church.

Speaking during the conversation, Aniyi also reflected on his difficult childhood, explaining how his upbringing in a military barracks shaped his discipline and academic focus.

He said he grew up in environments such as the Command Children’s School and later the Nigerian Army Officers’ Wives Nursery and Primary School, which exposed him to strict structure and discipline.

He revealed that early family challenges affected his emotional development, making him more introverted and focused on academics rather than social life. According to him, he eventually ran away at the age of 16 due to persistent emotional struggles at home.

Aniyi further explained that despite these experiences, he later reconciled with his parents, forgave past hurts, and focused on rebuilding relationships. He emphasized that forgiveness became a key part of his healing journey.

His Words: “ I won a visa lottery to travel abroad. When I told my pastor about it, he advised me not to go. Instead, he said I should come and work for the church.”
