Arabambi made the remarks during an interview on Arise TV on May 31, 2026, where he discussed internal party tensions, leadership struggles, and the broader state of opposition politics in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 general elections.
According to him, the Labour Party has continued to face serious internal divisions since its rise to prominence during the 2023 election cycle. He alleged that unresolved disputes over leadership and administrative processes have weakened the party’s structure and affected its ability to function as a unified political platform.
Speaking during the interview, Arabambi stated, “There are fraudulent things he did with Aisha Yesufu in the Labour Party,” using the claim to support his argument that internal misconduct and disagreements have played a major role in the party’s ongoing crisis.
He further alleged that competing factions within the Labour Party continue to challenge each other over leadership legitimacy, creating confusion and weakening the party’s organizational stability.
According to him, these divisions have made it difficult for the party to maintain a consistent political direction.
