Mbah Joins APC,His Ratings Drops In Ala Igbo,El-Rufai Teams Up With Obi, His Ratings Climbs-Igbokwe

Joe Igbokwe, a leader in the All Progressives Congress (APC), has sparked political discussions on social media with a Facebook post addressing the changing political loyalties and public opinion in the South-East.

In his post, Igbokwe highlighted how political affiliations impact popularity in Ala Igbo, especially with Nigeria approaching a new election cycle.

"Peter Mbah joins APC, and suddenly his ratings plummet in Ala Igbo. El-Rufai partners with Peter Obi, and his ratings soar in Ala Igbo," Igbokwe remarked.

These statements underline the sensitivity surrounding political ties in the South-East, a region that largely backed Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi during the 2023 elections.

Obi's ongoing popularity influences political dynamics, where any endorsements or connections to him are often viewed as beneficial.

Igbokwe’s insights suggest that Governor Peter Mba’s rumored link with the APC may have negatively impacted his appeal among Igbo voters, many of whom harbor doubts about the ruling party due to historical feelings of marginalization.

Although Mba has yet to officially switch to the APC, ongoing speculations and political shifts continue to engage public attention.
